I have been having some issues with VS on my computer. It occurred to me that a reasonable (possible?) solution to the issue is to uninstall then reinstall it. I went through Control Panel -> Programs and have come up with the following list of things to uninstall:
AnkhSVN
Entity Framework Designer
Microsoft ASP.NET MVC*
Microsoft chart control
Microsoft Visual C++*
Microsoft Visual F#
Microsoft Visual Studio*
Microsoft Web Deploy
Prerequisites for SSDT
Visual Studio prerequisites*
Once these are removed and the computer is rebooted, I would install:
Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 (have the license key)
en_visual_studio_ultimate_2012_x86_dvd_2262106.iso
mu_visual_studio_2012_update_5_x86_dvd_6967467.iso
Yes, this is old but it is what I have, so does this seem reasonable? Did I list anything for uninstalling that should be left alone? Anything else that I should install? Note that eyars ago, I did more serious programming (for work and such), but these days, it is just simple 'fun' programs.
