More graphic components used

Hi,

I will start a project in visual basic .net with visual studio 2010 and I wonder what graphic components are more used, more useful and more attractive to this type of project.

Also like to know if there are additional packages of graphical components that come by default with Visual Basic and more useful.

Finally, what types of graphic buttons and design backgrounds do you use?
